Notice is 30 to 90 days, as agreed in your contract, and the same for both sides unless a shorter one is in the worker's interest (Article 43(1)–(2)).
Probation is different. Moving to another UAE employer during probation: at least one month's written notice. Leaving the UAE during probation: at least 14 days' written notice (Article 9).
Leaving early costs money. The side that does not respect the notice period pays the other a notice allowance equal to the wage for the period not worked (Article 43(3)).
Mainland only. DIFC and ADGM have their own employment laws.
